Many people consider the war with Russia to have started on 24 February 2022, but in fact it all started with the occupation of Donbas and Crimea back in April 2014. For 11 years, Ukrainians have been bravely resisting the aggressor, and now, more than ever, it is important to unite and demonstrate our strength and unity.
Ukrainians, who have travelled all over the world since the outbreak of the war, live on all continents. Your homeland needs your support in its struggle for independence. We have a unique opportunity to join our efforts and show the world that Ukrainians are one big family, despite the distance.
The Marathon of Heroes will unite Ukrainians from all over the world. This event will give us the opportunity to set a world record for the number of participants in one race! Each step is a step towards victory, and each participation is a manifestation of support for Ukraine in its fight for freedom.

Project goals
- Remind Ukrainians around the world that we are a nation of heroes and unite them to achieve a common record.
- Remind the world that the war in Ukraine has been going on for 11 years.
- Engage more than 50 thousands participants into one event, set a record and register it with Book of records
- All funds raised during the event will be donated to the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces and the veterans' movement.
- To remember the heroes who died fighting for Ukraine's independence.
Uniqueness of the project
In fact, the marathon will last almost two days, as April 13 in Australia starts 9 hours earlier than in Kyiv, when it is still the 12th in Ukraine, and ends 10 hours later in America, when it is already the 14th in Ukraine. Therefore, the race will start in Sydney and end in Los Angeles.
The marathon is open to everyone, no matter where they are. It is enough to leave the house at any time, press the ‘Start’ button in the chatbot, run any distance and press the ‘Finish’ button.
Last time, during a similar race, we set a Ukrainian record for the number of participants. This time, we aim to set a world record.

Running for the Hero
The marathon will feature the Run for the Hero campaign, during which volunteers will run the course instead of a Hero who died defending Ukraine, wearing a T-shirt with the Hero’s name and call sign.
The purpose of this campaign is to remind us of the deeds of our Heroes and to perpetuate their memory.
You can order a T-shirt with the name of your deceased friend or relative from our partners.
